Preparation
Please ensure you have appropriate walking footwear and clothing for the weather on the night. There will be refreshments available when you finish the walk and food and beverages also available for purchase but make sure you eat something to keep your energy levels up throughout the walk. There will also be some fantastic entertainment after the walk so make sure you bring something warm to put on once you finish!
Dress code
Don't forget your Wings!
In your registration pack you will receive a wing stencil and a pink glow bracelet. Make sure you get into the pink spirit by decorating your Dove wings and wearing them, along with your pink glow bracelet (but don’t make it glow until we start the walk together) on the night to show your support for breast cancer research. Participants are also encouraged to dress in pink with other clothing items and accessories.
Prizes
Fantastic spot prizes will be awarded at the event for a range of categories including the best dressed pink participants, as well as best decorated and best illuminated Dove wings worn on the night.
Getting There
As all vehicle entrances into the Domain will be closed from 5.00pm on the evening of The Dove Pink Star Walk, there will be limited on-street parking available. Please do not park on the grass in or around The Domain. If possible, we would encourage you to plan your arrival by public transport, otherwise to get as many friends and family to carpool together as possible. A suitable area for disabled car parking will be available. Check out
www.maxx.co.nz for public transport options.
