The Dove Pink Star Walk is a walk for men, women and children of all ages and fitness levels through the Auckland Domain at night in support of the NZBCF.
The event will take place on Saturday 17 October 2009 from 7pm.

The Dove Pink Star Walk will be a fun and unique 5km stroll through the Auckland Domain at night.

All participants are encouraged to get into the pink spirit by decorating your very own Dove wings and wearing them on the night to show your support for breast cancer research. Participants are also encouraged to dress in pink with other clothing items and accessories.
There will be prizes awarded on the night for the best decorated wings and costumes and for those adopting the pink spirit. We also recommend you wear comfortable shoes that are suitable for the walking the 5km distance.

Yes, but we do advise that food and wrappers are kept to a minimum to control rubbish. Water will also be provided on the night along the route and will be available free of charge for every participant. There will be food stall's available at the end of the route for any snacking requirements (tbc). As the walk does not commence until 8pm, there is plenty of time to eat dinner beforehand - we recommend that you have a light carbohydrate based meal in order to ensure you have energy to complete the walk.

To enter all you have to do is log on to www.mydove.co.nz, fill in the entry form on-line and then pay the registration fee, which starts at $25 per person (different fees apply for adults, children, concessions etc.) Once registered, you will receive an event pack containing event all the information that you will need for the event, as well as your race identification, course map, wing pattern and Dove Pink Star Walk Laces designed by Kathryn Wilson.
